Where I'm from

I grew up in Maracaibo, a warm coastal city in Venezuela — the kind of place that leaves a mark on you. Today I call Colombia home, and the mix of both has shaped how I see the world: adaptable, grounded, and always finding a way forward.

How I show up

People often tell me my calmness catches them off guard — that the way I approach conflict and hard problems feels uncommon in this industry. I take that as a compliment. Under that composure, though, I feel things deeply. My instincts and emotions are a big part of how I make decisions, not just logic.

When I'm not building systems, I'm usually doing something that challenges me physically, mentally, or both.

Family
My family is my foundation and my fuel. Being able to support them is one of the most concrete motivations behind the work I do every day.

Curiosity
I find real satisfaction in understanding how things work — not just software, but the world. I recently read a book about the immune system just because I wanted to know. That's just how I'm wired.
💃
I was part of a salsa dance group for two years back in Maracaibo. Yes, really.
🍦
My favorite dessert is ice cream, and I feel strongly about this.
👨‍🍳
I cook regularly and I'm always trying out new recipes — the kitchen is another place where I like to experiment.

The last book I read for fun was Immune by Kurzgesagt. I didn't need to. I just wanted to.
